Coronavirus/COVID-19 Update

As of: 07/10/2020

In light of the recent order by the Ohio Department of Health requiring masks to be worn in public throughout Fairfield County, we require that all visitors to our lobbies comply with the order out of respect for each other and our community. This requirement is effective Saturday, July 11, 2020 and will continue until further notice.  We may ask you to temporarily lower your mask for identification and security purposes. Please have your identification with you.

Please know that in addition to continuing to wear masks, our employees are working diligently to make your experience as safe as possible. We are continuing to implement the following measures to keep you safe:

  1. Personal protection: Employees are wearing masks. Sneeze guards are in place at our customer service windows in our lobby. Hand sanitizer is available at our customer service windows and throughout the lobby.
  2. Facility Cleaning: We are using a professional industrial cleaning company to clean our facilities. Work stations and common areas are cleaned regularly throughout the business day.
  3. Employee Screening: Employees will continue with daily temperature and symptom checks.

If you wish to not wear a mask during your visit, our drive-thru option continues to be available from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays at both our Wheeling Street and Ety Road Locations.  You may also use our ATM, online banking and mobile app.

If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or are ill, please do not enter our lobby and, instead, call our office at 740-653-5115 and we will be happy to assist you.

While wearing masks is a necessary measure to comply with current public safety guidelines, our commitment to being there when it counts for our community remains the same. Thank you for your cooperation.

To our valued customers and community:

On June 8, we will be reopening our Wheeling Street office lobby for limited customer transactions. For now, our Ety Road office will remain operating as a drive-thru only with in-office transactions by appointment only.

While there are some necessary changes we are making in order to comply with current public safety guidelines, one thing hasn’t changed, and that is our commitment to being there when it counts for our community.

It is in the spirit of this vision that we are requesting your cooperation with the following requests in order to preserve the health and safety of our customers, our employees and our collective community.

  1. Please wear a mask.

We ask that you wear a mask when entering our facility. We will be wearing masks when working with customers. If you do not want to wear a mask, we encourage you to use our drive-thru.  If you wear a mask into the bank, we may ask you to temporarily lower your mask for identification and security purposes. Please have your identification with you.

  1. Participate in screening before entering.

Before you enter the lobby, we will ask a few brief questions to screen for possible COVID-19 symptoms. We will be screening our employees each day as well. If you are experiencing symptoms, please do not enter and, instead, call our office at 740-653-5115 and we will be happy to assist you.

  1. Follow guidelines for a swift and safe visit.

We are currently limiting our occupancy to four customers in our lobby area at a time to adhere to physical distancing. We appreciate your patience if you are asked to wait. Upon entry, you will be provided a pen to use for your transactions and this is yours to keep, so please take it with you upon departure. Please respect physical distancing of at least 6 feet between all customers and employees – we will have directional signage on the floor to help with this. Use hand sanitizer where available.

What our employees are doing to protect you:

We understand the concern and uncertainty you may be experiencing surrounding the COVID-19 situation.  While our lobbies have limited access, you can count on us for the tools you need for all your banking needs. We encourage you to use Standing Stone Bank’s digital tools and other resources for self-service banking and 24/7 account access. You can access your accounts online or by using our mobile app at your convenience.  You can make payments, view transactions, check balances and much more.  If you have not enrolled in online access, it only takes a few minutes. As noted in the Ohio Department of Health’s Stay at Home Order issued yesterday, we are an essential business and we will remain open to serve our customers and community under the operational changes we announced last week.  This includes conducting customer transactions through the drive-thru, providing limited in-person banking by-appointment only, and offering our online, mobile or telephone banking as additional options.

At Standing Stone Bank, we are actively monitoring the situation surrounding the coronavirus.  Our primary concern during this pandemic is the health and safety of our customers, employees, and all the people of our community. As such, we stand ready to react to the information about the spread of the coronavirus and will be proactive supporting the local effort to limit its impact.

In order to minimize person-to-person contact, we will temporarily limit access to the lobby at both our Wheeling Street and Ety Road locations starting tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18, 2020.  If it is urgent and necessary to conduct a transaction in the lobby, customers may call us at (740) 653-5115 to schedule an appointment at our Wheeling Street office. Our drive thru lanes at both Wheeling Street and Ety Road will continue to remain open to serve our customers during our normal hours of operation.

We request that customers use our ATM, online banking, mobile app, or telephone banking as often as possible to assist us with these proactive precautionary measures.

Our night depository is a secured bank drop box where businesses can deposit daily cash, checks, and payments. Night deposit is available at each location. Please contact our office at (740) 653-5115 to discuss access options.

Unfortunately, during uncertain times, scams can arise. Please remember that Standing Stone will not ask for personal identification information over the phone. If you receive a call from someone claiming to represent Standing Stone Bank, hang up, and call us directly at (740) 653-5115.
